This contempt petition has been filed praying to punish the respondent for not obeying the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.18569 of 2019 dated 09.07.2024.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the copy of the order dated 08.07.2025 passed by the District Collector, Kallakurichi, was placed before this Court. It is also brought to the notice of this Court that the above proceedings was challenged before the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.No.26831 of 2025 and the Division Bench, by order dated 22.07.2025, disposed of the writ petition by directing the petitioner therein to file a statutory revision before the concerned authority within a time frame and also directed the authorities not to take any coercive action.

3. In the light of the above development, no further orders can be passed in this contempt petition for the present. If there is any further development, it is left open to the petitioner to revive his claim by filing a fresh contempt petition.

Accordingly, this contempt petition is closed. 2/4
