This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed praying to extend the time to deposit the 30% cheque amount before the trial court as per order dated 31.01.2025 in CMP.No.1207 of 2025 in Crl.RC.No.143 of 2025.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court, while disposing of the petitions in Crl.MP.Nos.1207 & 1209 of 2025 by order dated 31.01.2025, imposed condition on the petitioner to deposit 30% of the compensation amount. However, the petitioner was not able to comply with the condition. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition praying to extend the time granted to comply with the above condition. 3.
In view of the above above submissions, this Court is inclined to entertain this petition. Therefore, this petition is ordered and the time is extended on condition that the petitioner deposits 50% of the cheque amount i.e. Rs.2,50,000/- on or before 20.06.2025, failing which the present order shall automatically stand cancelled and thereafter, the respondent is at liberty to take appropriate steps to secure the petitioner to comply with the order of conviction and sentence imposed by the trial court as well as the appellate court.
