ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by V. DHANAPALAN, J) The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioner as belonging to "Malaikuravan" community on the basis of his application dated 17.03.2014.
2. We have heard Mr. V. Raghavachari, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader
for the respondent.
3. When the writ petition is taken up today for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader produced a copy of the communication of the respondent in Ref.No.A2/1662/2014 dated 31.01.2015. The following are the extract of the communication dated 31.01.2015 of the respondent addressed to the learned Additional Government Pleader, High Court, Madras. "Thiru. Kannaiyan, son of Shanmugam of Aragandanallur Village, Thirukoilur Taluk, has applied for ST "Malai Kuravan" community certificate for his son K. Ajith Kumar.
In this connection, it is submitted that on receipt of the petition from the petitioner, a report was called for from the Tahsildar, Thirukoilur. The Tahsildar has sent his report to this office vide in his ref.A3/3626/2014 dated 08.10.2014 (received by this office on 29.10.2014). On perusal of the report, it was found incomplete. Hence, a revised report along with supporting evidences was called for from the Tahsildar through this office reference A2/1662/14 dated 20.11.2014.
The Tahsildar, Tirukoilur vide in his reference No.A3/3626/2014 dated 21.01.2015 has sent his revised report.
Mean while the petitioner has filed a writ petition in W.P. No. 32581 of 2014 before the Honourable High Court, Chennai to direct the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioner as belonging "Malai Kuravan" ST community.
On the basis of the report received from the Tahsildar, Tirukoilur and periodical enquiries done by Revenue Divisional Officer, a ST (Malai Kuravan) certificate No.144273/2015 dated 28.01.2015 has been issued to the petitioner. A copy of certificate issued to the petitioner is enclosed for your kind perusal."

From the above proceedings, it is seen that on the basis of the report of the Tahsildar, the Revenue Divisional Officer has issued a community certificate to the petitioner's son to the effect that he belonged to Schedule Tribe Malai Kuravan community and a copy of such certificate has also been issued to the petitioner. We have also verified the said proceedings. Therefore, what was prayed for by the petitioner has been granted in his favour and nothing
survives for adjudication by this Court in this writ petition. Therefore, recording the above said proceedings, the writ petition is closed. No costs.
