... Respondents / Respondents This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.F. Terry Chella Raja, learned counsel for the Appellant/claimant and Mr.D.Baskaran, learned counsel for the 2nd respondent/Insurance Company are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.3,13,000/- [Rupees Three Lakhs and Thirteen Thousands Only], together with interest at 7.5% per annum, from the date of petition till the date of realization, payable by the 2nd respondent. Aggrieved by the award of the Tribunal, the appellant/claimant preferred the present appeal.

After due deliberation and consultation, both the parties have agreed to settle the award to a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Only) with interest @ 7.5% per annum, over and above the award amount of the Tribunal. 3.
The second respondent/ insurance company is directed to deposit the amount of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Only) with 7.5% interest, now arrived today, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in M.A.C.T.O.P.No.2711 of 2018 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Chennai (Special Sub Court No.II, Small Causes Court, Chennai) and on such deposit, the appellant/claimant is directed to withdraw the same. 4.
The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through RTGS/NEFT to the party concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. 5.
The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected civil miscellaneous petition, if any stands closed. No costs.
