O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner's organization for conducting Mupperum Vizha cum Public Meeting, on 17.5.2015, at about 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Kinnatthukadavu Anna Thidal, situated in front of City Bakery, pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 19.4.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a District Secretary of Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam, Pollachi, which is propagating the social reforms. Its activities are not detrimental to the interest of general public. Hence, the petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct Mupperum Vizha cum Public Meeting on 17.05.2015 at about 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. at Kinnatthukadavu Anna Thidal.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader submits that the respondents may be directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation.

5. Having considered the above submissions, without delving deep into the matter, this Courts finds it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 14.05.2015.

6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
