ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to grant patta in favour of the petitioner for the property comprised in S.No.1/5, Serpapattu Village, Thandarampattu Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District.

2. Considering the limited relief sought for in the petition, without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 24.05.2018, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and counter parties, if any and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
