Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to upgrade the petitioner as Special Sub Inspector of Police and direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 9.9.2010. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Ilamvaludhi For Respondents : Mr.R.Vijayakumar, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to upgrade the writ petitioner as Special Sub Inspector of Police based on the length of services rendered by the writ petitioner in the cadre of Grade-I Constable and Head Constable.

2. In this regard, the writ petitioner has submitted a representation to the second respondent on 9.9.2010. However, the same is yet to be considered.

3. Thus, on account of the long delay, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petitioner has to submit a fresh representation along with the documents to the second respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if any such representation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is submitted by the writ petitioner to the second respondent, then the second respondent is directed to consider the representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
