O R D E R

The landlord in R.C.O.P.No.64 of 1999 on the file of I Additional District Munsif (Rent Controller), Coimbatore has filed the above Civil Revision Petition to direct the Rent Controller to dispose of the Rent Control Original Petition within a period of three months.

2. Mr.A.Muthukumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the landlord filed the Rent Control Original Petition in the year 1999, the Rent Controller has not disposed of the same yet. The learned counsel further submitted that challenging the order passed in I.A.No.400 of 1999 in R.C.O.P.No.64 of 1999, the proposed party filed Civil Revision Petitions in C.R.P.(PD) Nos.1923 & 1924 of 2010 and this court, by order dated 2.3.2011, allowed the said Civil Revision Petitions. Thereafter, the landlord filed a memo dated 11.6.2014, stating that the back records may be retrieved and dispose of the Rent Control Original Petition at the earliest.

Having regard to the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the I Additional District Munsif (Rent Controller), Coimbatore to dispose of the Original

Petition in R.C.O.P.No.64 of 1999 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the case of the Rent Controller not in a position to trace the back papers, the petitioner is permitted to reconstruct the papers before the Rent Controller.

With this observation, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
