Online Patta in his name in respect of his property, namely all that piece and parcel of vacant land of extent 2070 Sq.ft. of land bearing Plot No.1, Ganesh Nagar, comprised in S.No.50/5, New S.No.50/5B as per Patta No.2187, Puthagaram Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Chennai District within the limits of Greater Chennai Corporation, within the Registration District of North Chennai and within the Sub Registration District of Ambattur.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2023 requesting for issuance of Online Patta in his name in respect of his property to an extent of 2070 Sq.ft. of land bearing Plot No.1, Ganesh Nagar, comprised in S.No.50/5, New S.No.50/5B as per Patta No.2187, Puthagaram Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Chennai District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had earlier made a representation dated 09.01.2023 to the 3rd respondent 2/6

for issuance of online Patta by enclosing all the relevant documents. Since no action was taken, once again he made a representation dated 18.08.2023, to the 1st and 3rd respondents for issuance of online Patta in the name of the petitioner. However, no action has been taken. The petitioner is aged 77 years and he has been made to run from pillar to post. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed seeking directions to the respondents.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and since the Writ Petition is filed seeking a simple Writ of Mandamus to consider the representation for issuance of online Patta, this Court without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the 3 rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2023 and issue notice to the petitioner, interested parties/rival 3/6

claimants/objectors/aggrieved parties if any, as the case may be, if notice was not issued already and conduct enquiry in the manner known to law, if already not conducted and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law if already not passed orders. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
