(The Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J) This petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2020 by issuing ST Kurumans community certificate for his daughters, viz, [1] S.Harini and [2] S. Shruti on the basis of his ST Kurumans Community Certificate No.495780 dated 02.11.2015.

2. The petitioner has obtained certificate that he belongs to Kurumans Community, which is Scheduled Tribe. The petitioner joined the Southern Railways under the ST quota. The petitioner has applied for ST Kurumans certificate for his daughters. Even though the petitioner has obtained Page No.2/5

certificate for himself and produced several other certificates of his cousins and close relatives, the petitioner's application has not been considered. Hence, the above Writ Petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.02.2020.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer now sought for in this petition, without expression any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's contention, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2020 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
