Seeking a direction to the respondent to grant permission and police protection to the petitioner for conducting cultural function in Arulmigu Sri Mahasakthi Mariamman Temple at Ariyanur on 03.04.2020 based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2020, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent drew the attention of this Court to Clause-14 of the order passed by the Government of Tamil Nadu in G.O.(Ms.)No.347, Public Health and Welfare Department dated 16.03.2020 wherein it is stated that permissions should not be granted to conduct processions, meetings, summer classes, camps, business exhibitions, games and any other similar types of programmes involving large number of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

people till 31.03.2020. Pointing out to the same, she submitted that the petitioner is not entitled to seek the relief as prayed for in this Criminal Original Petition.

3.Conceding the above submission, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this Criminal Original Petition. He has also made an endorsement in the petition, to that effect.

4.In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
