O R D E R

This writ petition has been directed against the proceedings of the respondent made in Na.Ka.No.L8/676/2016 dated 14.06.2016 for enhancement of rent and deposit amount and for a direction to the respondent Corporation to conduct an enquiry after furnishing all the details which formed the basis for enhancement of rent and security deposit as per the impugned proceedings dated 14.06.2016.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, Mr.S.Sathish, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has agreed to pay the enhanced monthly rent as well as the security deposit, demanded by the respondent, and produced a copy of order of this Court, made in a batch of writ petitions in W.P.No.20425 of 2016 & batch, dated 03.08.2016, wherein, this Court has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed the respondents therein to extend the lease period in respect of the respective petitioners therein for a period of three years and to enter into lease agreements, based on the new lease amount.

3.In the light of the aforesaid order, on payment of enhanced monthly rent as well as security deposit by the petitioner, if not already made, the respondent is directed to extend the lease period in respect of the petitioner for a further period of three years, initially, as per G.O.Ms.No.92, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 03.07.2007 and the respondent shall also enter into lease agreement with the petitioner, based on the new lease amount. 4.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
