ORDER
This application has been filed seeking to condone a delay of 81 days in filing the Criminal Revision Petition against the judgment passed in Crl.A. No. 29 of 2024 on the file of the District and Sessions Court, Chennai.
2.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the entire compensation amount of ₹6,75,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs and Seventy-Five Thousand only) awarded by the Court below has been paid to the respondent, leaving no outstanding dues.
3.Mr. A. Vijay, learned counsel appearing for the respondent, confirms receipt of the entire amount of ₹6,75,000/- and verifies that no dues remain pending and he also states that he has no objection to the delay condonation application being allowed.
4.Both counsel submit that the parties have settled their disputes amicably and executed a Memorandum of Compromise dated 22.07.2025, which is annexed to this petition. Since the compromise deed is in the Tamil language, learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to file an English translated copy of the document within one week.
5.In view of the settlement, learned counsel on both sides jointly pray that this Court, by exercising its compounding powers under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, finally dispose of the main matter. 6.Accordingly, taking into consideration the submissions made on both sides, and noting that the parties have entered into an amicable compromise
after settling all outstanding dues, the delay of 81 days is condoned, and this petition is allowed 7.Registry is directed to formally number the main Criminal Revision Petition and post it on 19.06.2026 under the caption "For Orders". 10-06-2026 SHA To District and Sessions Court, Chennai.
