Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to modification of entries in the Revenue records viz., Computer Chitta and "A" Register by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2018. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to modify the entries in the Revenue records viz., Computer Chitta and "A" Register, based on his representation dated 31.10.2018.

3. It is stated that the petitioner's mother had acquired the property situated at Sendathur Village, Peranampattu Taluk, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Vellore District, comprised in Survey No.287 measuring an extent of 0.17 acre by virtue of a settlement deed vide Document No.3252/1957. It is further stated that the land comprised in Survey No.287 was wrongly classified as Government Land in "A" Register. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 31.10.2018, to rectify the mistake crept in the Revenue records. Now, the grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representation has not been considered by the respondents so far.

4. Heard both sides.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the third respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the third respondent to consider the representation dated 31.10.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
