O R D E R
The petitioner challenges the order dated 14.06.2016 passed by the third respondent, whereby the petitioner's request to cross-examine the Investigating Officer came to be rejected.
2. The petitioner was subjected to a departmental enquiry and had filed a petition seeking adjournment of the hearing for the purpose of crossexamining the Investigating Officer. However, the said request was rejected by the impugned order.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite an order of stay having been granted by this Court, the Enquiry Officer proceeded with the enquiry and submitted an Enquiry Report, which culminated in the passing of an order of punishment. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal, which is pending consideration. Page Nos.2/4
4. In the light of the above facts, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. However, liberty is reserved to the petitioner to raise all the grounds urged in the present writ petition before the Appellate Authority. With the above observation, the captioned Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
