ORDER

The petitioner/wife seeks transfer of IDOP No.21 of 2026 from the file of Principal District Court, Ranipet to the file of Family Court, Pondicherry.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is living with 2 years old child without any source of income and the respondent was employed at "BNP Paribas India Solutions" and was earning Rs.75,000/-per month and the petitioner finds it difficult to travel from Puducherry to Ranipet to attend the proceedings.

3. There is no representation for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to transfer IDOP No.21 of 2026 to the file of Family Court, Puducherry.

5. Accordingly, Tr.C.M.P.No.229 of 2026 is allowed and the proceedings in IDOP No.21 of 2026 is withdrawn from the file of Principal District Court, Ranipet to Family Court, Puducherry.

6. The Principal District Court, Ranipet is directed to send the entire records relating to IDOP No.21 of 2026 to Family Court, Puducherry forthwith. To the child, respondent is directed to pay Rs.8,000/- as interim maintenance till modification.

7. On receipt of the records, the Family Court, Puducherry is directed to issue notice to both the parties within a period of two weeks and proceed with the matter. No costs.
