These Writ Petitions are filed for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to quash the Final List of Candidates for election to the Twenty Third Council and Twenty Second Regional Councils to be held in December 2015 dated 21.10.2015 on the file of the first respondent in so far it relates to respondents 3 to 8 and 3 to 7, respectively.

2. Having regard to the nature of relief sought for in these Writ Petitions, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for adjudication in these Writ Petitions as the prayer sought for in these Writ Petitions has become infructuous. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
