ORDER
[Order of the court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.,] The detention order dated 22.01.2017 is sought to be challenged on the ground of delay.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though a representation was made on 14.02.2017, it was finally disposed of on 24.03.2017 and hence, the detention order is vitiated on the ground of delay.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would also submit that the representation dated 14.02.2017, was finally disposed of on 24.03.2017.
4. Thus, as fairly submitted by the Additional Public Prosecutor, there appears to be delay warranting interference.
5. Accordingly, the habeas corpus petition is allowed and the detention order dated 22.01.2017, passed by the third respondent is quashed. The detenu , viz., Settu, S/o.Pandu is directed to be set at liberty, forthwith, unless his presence is required in connection with any other case.
