Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents for violating the judgment of this Court 1/4

ORDER

This contempt petition is filed alleging that the direction of this Court issued in WP.No.24057 of 2019 dated 07.06.2022 not complied. 2.

However, the learned Government Advocate(crl.side), today produced the memorandum dated 23.03.2023 issued by the Additional Director General of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai indicating that special team has been constituted under the direct supervision of Superintendent of Police, EOW, Central Zone, Chennai with team of six police officials.

The special team headed by the Superintendent of Police, EOW, Central Zone, Chennai shall file status report before the Special Court for Economic Offences Cases at Coimbatore at the end of every 2/4

month till the completion of investigation and filing final report under Section 173 of Cr.P.C.

In view of the above, this Court is of the view that there is no necessity to entertain this contempt petition. Accordingly, this contempt petition is closed. The complainants are at liberty to have the copy of the status report.
