Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records in connection with the order of Detention passed by the second respondent 29.11.2016 in Memo.No.1199/ BCDFGISSSV/2016 against the detenu Anand @ Anandan, Male aged 22 years, S/o Mahalingam, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal II, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before the Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed, by the sister of the detenu, namely, Anand @ Anandan, aged 22 years, Son of Mahalingam, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of Detention passed by the second respondent 29.11.2016 in Memo.No.1199/ BCDFGISSSV/2016 against the detenu Anand @ Anandan, Male aged 22 years, S/o Mahalingam, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal II, Chennai and set aside the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before the Court and set him at liberty.

At this stage of the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent, against the brother of the petitioner dated 29.11.2016 has been revoked by the Government, in G.O. (D)No.185, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XVI) Department, dated 18.10.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
