..Respondents Prayer: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents herein for willful disobedience and non-compliance of the order dated 20.09.2018 of this Honourable Court made in Writ Petition No.24447 of 2018 under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by S.MANIKUMAR, J.) In W.P.No.24447 of 2018, petitioner has sought for a Mandamus, directing the respondents, to shift TASMAC Shop No.4110, located near Vinayaga Temple, Nehru Nager, Pozhichallur, Kancheepuram District, based on the representation made by the petitioner to the respondents, on 29.06.2018.

2. Earlier, when the matter came up for hearing on 20.09.2018, inviting the attention of this Court to the proceedings of the District Manager, TASMAC, Kancheepuram (North), Kancheepuram District in R.C.No.4110/A6/2018, dated 18.09.2018, Mr.P.Arumugarajan, learned Standing Counsel for TASMAC submitted that, for administrative reasons, TASMAC Shop No.4110, has been temporarily closed, from 18.09.2018 onwards. Thus, recording the same, on 20.09.2018, we disposed of the writ petition.

3. Alleging that, order made in W.P.No.24447 of 2018, dated 20.09.2018, is disobeyed and contending inter alia that

TASMAC Shop No.4110, is located near Vinayaga Temple, Nehru Nagar, Pozhichallur, Kancheeepuram District, instant contempt petition is filed.

4. On instructions, Mr.P.Arumugarajan, learned Standing Counsel for TASMAC, submitted that the said TASMAC Shop, has been permanently closed and a decision has been taken to relocate of TASMAC Shop No.4110, in accordance with Rule 8 of the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (In Shops and Bars) Rules, 2003, in some other place. Submission is placed on record.

5. In view of the above, nothing survives in this contempt petition, for further adjudication. Hence, contempt petition is dismissed. No Costs.
