Respondent PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to provide domestic electricity service connection to the house of the petitioner bearing No.87, S.F.189, 6th Street, REV Nagar, Rakiyapalayam layout, Nalur, Tirupur Taluk, in pursuance to the petitioner application dated 19.09.2017 on the file of the respondent within a stipulated period of time as prescribed by this Court.

Mr.S.K.Rameshwar, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to provide domestic electricity service connection to the house of the petitioner bearing No.87, S.F.189, 6th Street, REV Nagar, Rakiyapalayam layout, Nalur, Tirupur Taluk, in pursuance to the petitioner application dated 19.09.2017 on the file of the respondent within a stipulated period of time as prescribed by this Court.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent is not considering the said request so far.

4. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other affected parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of three weeks form the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
