The writ petitioner is a supplier of milk to the Thondapadi Milk Supplier Co-Operative Society Ltd., at Thondapadi. The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 25.04.2017.
2. On a perusal of the said representation submitted by the writ petitioner, it is seen that the the same was addressed to the second respondent who is the President of Thondapadi Milk Producers Co-Operative Society. The second respondent CoOperative Society is not a "State" under Article 21 of the Constitution of India and no writ will lie against a CoOperative Society, in view of the legal principles laid down by the Larger Bench of this Court in the case of Marappan and others reported in Marappan.K. v. The Deputy Registrar of CoOperative Societies, Namakkal, 2006 (4) CTC 689. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
