This petition is filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondent for violating the order of this Court dated 21.12.2018 inW.P.No.27609 of 2018 by imposing maximum punishment as contemplated under the Contempt of Courts Act 1971. O R D E R

This Court by an order dated 21.12.2018 in W.P.No.27609 of 2018 passed an order directing the first respondent to refer the petitioner's award under Section 8(1) of the Tamil Nadu Land Acquisition of Land for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Industrial Purposes Act. Since, the order has not been

complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent would submit that now the matter has been referred to Sub-Court, Kanchipuram, under Section 8(1) of the Act and the same has also been numbered as L.A.O.P.No.102 of 2019 and he has also produced the copy of the letter received by him.

3. Considering the fact that already the matter has been referred under Section 8(1) of the Act, the Contempt Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to raise all his objections before the Reference Court. If any such objection is raised, the Reference Court is directed to consider the same on its own merits. No costs.
