(Crime No.77/2018) Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records as made in Na.Ka.No.50/ADSP/PEW/ALR/2018 dated 23.03.2018 on the file of the 1st respondent, quash the same and consequently to direct the 1st respondent herein to release the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN.68 U 9381 (Tata Ace) Goods Vehicle (Dost RLS BSIV) forthwith.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the confiscation proceedings of the 1st respondent and also to return the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN.68 U 9381 (Tata Ace) Goods Vehicle (Dost RLS BSIV) to the petitioner. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the aforesaid vehicle which was involved in the offence was confiscated and put in public auction. paid the amount determined by the authorities and received back the vehicle. The learned Government Advocate has also produced a copy of the notice of auction sent to the petitioner in this regard.

3.The submissions made by the learned Government Advocate are recorded. In view of the same, nothing survives for further adjudication in the matter. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
