ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondent to pay Dearness Allowance, Gratuity arrears, 15 days Earned Leave Salary surrendered by the petitioner in the year 2018 and Dearness Allowance arrear for the month of January 2019 with applicable interest.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner had joined the service of the respondents Corporation as Technical Staff. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of Assistant Manager and retired from service on 31.01.2019. He was settled with terminal benefits at the rate of 9% DA. As per G.O.Ms.No.151, dated 20.05.2019, the Dearness Allowance has been enhanced from 9% to 12% with effect from 01.01.2019. Therefore, the petitioner sought for enhanced Dearness Allowance and also submitted a representation on 20.01.2024.

4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking enhanced 2/4

Dearness Allowance, Gratuity arrears, 15 days Earned Leave Salary surrendered by the petitioner in the year 2018 and Dearness Allowance arrear for the month of January 2019 with applicable interest and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
