ORDER
WMP. No.9311 of 2026 is ordered subject to the payment of separate court fee.
2.This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to issue patta either jointly or separately in favour of the petitioners for the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioners' representation dated 03.12.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3.The petitioners seek for issuance of patta either jointly or separately in their name for the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. They have given a representation on 03.12.2025 to the respondents for the aforesaid purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.
4.Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
5.No prejudice would be caused to the second respondent if the petitioners' representation, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioners and after hearing the objections from the neighbouring land owners, if any or any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
6.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' representation.
7.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' representation dated 03.12.2025 seeking for issuance of patta either jointly or separately in their name for the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections from the neighbouring land owners, if any or any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
