This petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to register a first information report, investigate and file a final report based on the petitioner's complaint dated 02.06.2016.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents-State.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint dated 02.06.2016 is not available with the second respondent police and that the petitioner has also not given any proof of having given the complaint dated 02.06.2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

On a reading of the complaint, it is seen that the petitioner has alleged therein that the opposite parties have created a settlement deed in respect of his property. 5.

Taking into consideration the nature of the allegation, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the Sub-Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Salem, along with a copy of this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 02.06.2016. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
