O R D E R
The relief sought by the petitioner in this writ petition is to call for the records pertaining to the selection list of candidates who participated in the combined Civil Services Examination - 4 (Group-IV Services) 2018-2019 published by the respondent and quash the same and direct the respondent to include the petitioner registration No.1008005010 in the selected list.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner viz., K.Shanmugapriya has participated in the selection for appointment of various posts in Group-IV service notified by the respondent Commission. In response to her application, she was called for selection. According to the petitioner, she is a qualified BA graduate, having Technical qualifications in Senior Grade Typist (English) and Junior Grade Typist (Tamil) issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Department of Technical Education-I. She is claiming under the reserved category of "destitute widow". In the written examination, she appears to have secured 205.5 marks and ranked as 109 in her category.

The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the persons, who had ranked far below her by 184.5 and 186 marks respectively have been called for the next stage of selection i.e., counselling and certificate verification. Since the petitioner did not figure in the list of candidates called for counselling, certificate verification, she had sent a Mail to the respondent on 24.02.2020 in order to ascertain as to why her name was left out when she had secured high rank, as to why she was not called for counselling. However, there was no response to her representation and therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

Learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent/Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission submitted that based on marks and rules of reservation, the petitioner has not reached the zone of consideration, which is required for the concerned post. Hence, she prayed this Court to dismiss the writ petition.

available on record.
6. In view of the facts and circumstances and the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, it is clear that though the petitioner has secured 205.5 marks and ranked as 109 in her category, she not reached the zone of consideration.
7. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 24.07.2023 vm Index :
