ORDER

This criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.423 of 2021 dated 05.06.2021 on the file of the 1st respondent.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner being a Journalist, had published certain articles about the illegal activities of the officials in the Police Department and hence, false cases have been foisted against the petitioner in various police stations. 3.The contention put forward by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner is purely factual in nature and this Court cannot venture into conducting a mini investigation into the matter and it therefore does not fall within the ambit of its jurisdiction under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. Any finding on facts will also have a bearing on the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

investigation conducted by the respondent Police.

4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the investigation conducted by the respondent Police at this stage.

5. In such view of the matter, this Court is of the view that quashing of the FIR cannot be considered at this point of time. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
