O R D E R

The Criminal Revision Case has been filed challenging the order of the learned II Additional Family Court Judge, Chennai, enhancing the maintenance amount from Rs.750/- to Rs.2,000/- vide order dated 07.04.2011 in M.P.No.540 of 2008 in M.C.No.224 of 1989.

Perused the order of the trial Court in enhancing the maintenance from Rs.750 to Rs.2,000/-. In fact, originally the maintenance of Rs.400/- per month was ordered by the Court on 16.06.1989. Thereafter, it was enhanced to Rs.600/- per month, with effect from 01.08.1991 and again it was enhanced to Rs.750/- per month in M.P.No.618 of 1999 with effect from 16.07.1999. When the matter stood thus, the respondent/wife filed a petition in the year 2008 in M.P.No.540 of 2008 for further enhancement of maintenance from Rs.750/- p.m.to Rs.3,000/- p.m.

The learned trial Judge after taking into consideration of the fact that the revision petitioner is working as Junior Assistant in the department of Printing and Stationery and also taken into consideration of the fact that the escalation price of essential commodities, enhanced the maintenance from Rs.750/- to Rs.2,000/- per month.

3. On a perusal of the records and other materials, this court does not find any illegality and infirmity in the order of the trial Court. Hence, the revision is dismissed.
