ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S. NAGAMUTHU,J.,) The petitioner claims to be a lover of one P. Keerthi, D/o Mr.Perumal, aged about 22 years. According to the petitioner, against the wishes of P.Keerthi, the third respondent along with her relative Shankar, who is the fourth https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent, illegally detained her. Therefore, she has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2.

When this matter was taken up today for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 resisted the same, questioning the locus-standi of the petitioner, filing this petition.

3.

In our considered view, it is the life and safety of an individual, which is paramount and not the locus-standi. The detenue P. Keerthi has made appearance before this Court on her own. She has been identified by the second respondent. Her identity is not disputed by the petitioner also. The detenue would submit that she is aged about 22 years. She wants to go free.

4.

The statement of the detenue is recorded. Accordingly, the habeas corpus petition is disposed of setting the detenue at liberty giving option to her to choose her own way of life. s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar sr To
