The grievances of the writ petitioner is that he is due to retire from service on 30.06.2019. The order of transfer has been issued now, transferring the writ petitioner from Chennai to Perambalur.

2.Undoubtedly, Transfer is an incidental to service, more so, a condition of service. However, the writ petitioner is going to retire shortly, more specifically, on 30.06.2019 and he is having three more months of service.

3. This being the factum, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 25.02.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is also directed to enclose the copy of the representation and other relevant documents, if any, along with the order passed in this writ petition.

4. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
