ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2 nd respondent to rectify and update the revenue records with respect to the subject property in compliance with the order passed by the 1 st respondent through proceedings dated 15.11.2024.

2.Heard Mr.B.K.Sreenivasan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 1 & 2.

3/7 3.The petitioner had earlier approached this Court and filed W.P.No.11446 of 2024 for a direction to the 1 st respondent herein to deal with the representation made by the petitioner wherein the petitioner had sought for the rectification and the update of the revenue records. This writ petition was disposed of by an order dated 26.04.2024 by directing the 1 st respondent to dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner, within a period of two months. 4.Pursuant to the above order, the 1 st respondent through proceedings dated 15.11.2024 had passed the following order:

4/7 5.The grievance of the petitioner is that the above order passed by the 1 st respondent was not followed up by the 2 nd respondent and the representation made by the petitioner in this regard did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 6.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and also considering the order passed by the st respondent dated 15.11.2024, there shall be a direction to the 2 nd respondent to act upon the order passed by the 1 st respondent through proceedings dated 15.11.2024 and carry out the necessary corrections in the revenue records, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
