O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 3rd Respondent to give police protection to the Petitioner and her family members life and limb by considering her representation dated 21.03.2022. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on 20.02.2022 the petitioner was attacked by the 4th respondent and one Andal, his wife. As a result, she suffered serious head injury and other injuries and admitted in the hospital. On the complaint given by the Petitioner, a case in Cr.No.130 of 2022,

for the offences under Sections 294 (b), 324 & 506 (ii) IPC was registered at Thiruthuraipoondi Police Station. 4th respondent got anticipatory bail in the case registered against him. Taking advantage of the anticipatory bail, he threatened the petitioner, therefore this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, two cases had been registered against the fourth respondent and his relatives.

4.Considering the rival submissions, it is seen that the petitioner has suffered violence at the hands of 4th respondent and suffered injuries. There is prima facie materials to show that the petitioner is being targeted by the 4th respondent by physical violence. Therefore, this Court directs the respondent to take appropriate action on the representation given by the petitioner, dated 21.03.2022, after carefully assessing the threat precession.

5.Accordingly, this petition is allowed with the aforesaid directions.
