This petition has been filed to amend the name of the bank (respondents 1 to 4) in the cause title in W.P.No.35027 of 2019 as Punjab National Bank instead of Union Bank of India.

2. Perused the reason stated by the petitioner in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and heard the learned counsel for both sides. The Union Bank of India, which was the original bank under which the petitioner seeks for remedy of compassionate appointment got merged with Punjab National Bank by notification dated 04.03.2020. Therefore, it became necessitated to implead Punjab National Bank as party respondent in this writ petition.

3. In view of the above, this petition is ordered. Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendments and post the writ petition for hearing next week.
