ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- This petition has been filed by the petitioner herein, who was arrested on 28.10.2020 for the alleged offences under Sections 8(c), read with 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act, seeks bail.

2. This petitioner is one among the four accused, who were arrested for the alleged possession and transport of 321.650 Kgs of Ganja in TN 18 AS 5236 TATA 1109 Ex BS4. The petitioner was arrested on 28.10.2020 on completion of the investigation, the respondent has filed the final report before the Special Court and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.245 of 2021. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police, while opposing the bail petition, stating that the petitioner herein was found in possession of commercial quantity of Ganja and there is enough material collected through the investigation to prosecute the petitioner for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c), read with 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act and there is prima facie case sufficient to convict the petitioner.

4. Since the matter is ripe for trial, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in the light of Section 37 of the NDPS Act. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition for bail is dismissed.
