Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to pass appropriate order in accordance with law upon the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2007 which was sent for seeking medical reimbursement, remaining gratuity and other statutory benefits within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The prayer in the writ petition is to direct the second respondent to pass appropriate order in accordance with law upon the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2007 which was sent for seeking medical reimbursement, remaining gratuity and other statutory benefits within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has not been paid medical reimbursement for the heart surgery, which he had undergone. His further grievance is that he has not been paid full gratuity and other statutory benefits, though the disciplinary proceedings pending against him ended in his favour. The petitioner had made a representation dated 16.08.2007 seeking medical reimbursement and the remaining gratuity amount and other benefits payable to him. Now, the petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent to pass orders on his representation dated 16.08.2007.

Taking into account the fact that the petitioner is aged about 75 years and also the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner ended in his favour, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent setting out his grievance and on such representation is being made, the second respondent is directed to pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
