When the matter came up for hearing on 21.02.2023, this Court passed the following order:- It was brought to the notice of this Court that the parties had arrived at a settlement and the petitioner/accused was willing to pay a total sum of Rs.6,00,000/- in full quits. Out of this amount, a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) had already been paid and the same was also acknowledged by the learned counsel for the respondent/complainant. Out of the balance amount of Rs.1,00,000/-(Rupees One Lakh only), a sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) is tendered today and the learned counsel for the petitioner/accused seeks for some 4/7
more time to pay the remaining balance of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only).
2.Considering the fact that the parties have arrived at a settlement, this Court wants to give one more opportunity to the petitioner/accused to settle the balance amount. The sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) that was tendered by the petitioner/accused was received by the respondent/complainant, who was present in the Court, today.
3.Post this case under the caption 'For Reporting Settlement' finally on 13.03.2023. It is made clear that the balance amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) must be paid on or before the next date of hearing and settlement must be reported.
