Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2017 to include the petitioner in Patta in Poolambadi West Revenue Village comprised in Survey Nos.268/5 and 268/6.

Mr.B.Anandan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 23.10.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for inclusion of his name and his mother's name in the Patta in respect of the property situated at Poolambadi West Revenue Village, comprised in Survey Nos.268/5 and 268/6.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that even though he made the representation on 23.10.2017, the respondents has not considered the same so far.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 23.10.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
