Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to furnish copy of A Register relating to Paimash No.126 correlating to Survey No.100 and 100/3, of Madagondapalli Village, Krishnagiri District.

For Petitioner : Mr.J.Srinivasa Mohan For Respondent : Mr.V.Subbiah Special Government Peader.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner would state that her father late Parthasarathy, inherited properties from his father Krishna Iyengar through a will dated 18.02.1965 and after the demise of her father and mother, she and her brother Srinivasan, are the legal heirs.

3. The petitioner would further state that one of the properties inherited by her father is in Paimash No.126, Survey Nos.100 and 100/3 and for the purpose of correlation and for taking further steps, the petitioner sought for copy of the old settlement record and A Register and in this regard, she approached the office of the District Collector, Krishnagiri and also submitted a written request on 20.11.2014. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that she is made to run from pillar to post to get the record and since, her representation remains unanswered, came forward to file this writ petition.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.J.Srinivasa Mohan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

5. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider the representation dated 20.11.2014, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.
