ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to correct the alleged wrong entry made in the Town Survey Land Register extract and update the correct names of the present owners of the properties morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, and to issue patta, based on his representation, dated 21.01.2026.
2. According to the petitioner, he and four others are the absolute owners of the properties morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition and they are in possession of the same. He claims that wrong entry has been made in the Town Survey Land Register extract for the subject properties, which has to be corrected and thereafter, after updating the correct names of the present owners, patta has to be issued in their favour. He had given a representation on 21.01.2026 to the respondents for the said purpose. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation, dated 21.01.2026 seeking for correction of the alleged wrong entry in the Town Survey Land Register extract for the properties morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, and update the correct names of the present owners of the Page No.3 of 6
property and to issue patta in their favour, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
