This revision is filed seeking for a direction to the learned II Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to dispose of the case in O.S.No.3741 of 2020 within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Ms.B.Rama, learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the records.

3. The petitioner/plaintiff has filed O.S.No.3741 of 2020 for recovery of Page No.1/4

money by way of summary suit. The respondent/defendant stated to have filed an application seeking leave to defend the suit and the same was allowed. The petitioner has filed copies of the proceeding sheets, in respect of this case, wherein, it show that on 20.7.2022 the respondent/defendant was not present and written statement was not filed, in spite of given several opportunities and ultimately the respondent/defendant was set ex-parte, later he filed an application and ex-parte decree was set aside. P.W.1 was examined in chief, however, the respondent/defendant has not coming forward for cross examination and the matter is being adjourned from time to time.

Considering the circumstances, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned II Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to dispose of O.S.No.3741 of 2020 as expeditiously as possible, not later than four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
