This criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No.2272 of 2011 pending on the file of the respondent police and quash the same insofar as the petitioner is concerned.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. Today, Mr.Ashokan, Sub-Inspector of Police, DCB, Tiruppur is present.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the FIR was initially, registered by the Inspector of Police, Udumalpet Police Station; later, it was transferred to the District Crime Branch, Tiruppur; now the investigation has been completed and the name of the petitioner has been deleted in the charge sheet.
