Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the list of candidates who are qualified for the oral interview published on the website of the Commission on 10.1.2013 and quash the same and consequently quash the publication of result for the oral interview published on the website of the 2nd respondent Commission on 7.2.2013 and consequently direct the 2nd respondent Commission to prepare a fresh list of candidates for being called for the oral interview without following the reservation for persons who studied in Tamil Medium and consequently conduct oral interview for the petitioner if her name finds place in such a list and consider the petitioner for selection to the post and pass such further or other orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J. ] According to the petitioner, she belongs to Most Backward Class Community. Pursuant to the advertisement no.257 dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

29.12.2010 issued by the second respondent, she applied for the Group I services Examination. Subsequently, she wrote the preliminary examination and was qualified for main written examination. Accordingly, she wrote the main written examination and was waiting for results to be called for the oral interview. However, when the list of selected candidates to be called for oral interview, was published, the name of the petitioner did not find place. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition, to quash the same and for consequential direction.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, interview was conducted and the candidates were also selected for the posts in Group I services and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication.

3.In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
