PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ or order or orders or direction particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2018 and dispose the same on merits.

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 02.08.2018.

2. The grievances of the writ petitioner is that, the selection of the writ petitioner was considered under the General category as Hindu. However, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that, the writ petitioner had already been converted to Muslim community and therefore, her case is to be considered under the communal rank as Muslim.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, now brought to the notice of this Court that, the recruitment process had already been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

completed and the selection list were finalised and the issue in this regard in relation to the conversion is now subjudiced before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. Thus, the case of the writ petitioner cannot be considered under the communal rank as Muslim.

4. This being the factum, there is no point in issuing the direction to respondents to consider the representation. Even if such a direction is issued, no purpose would be served and the same will be lead to further round of litigation which is not desirable.

5. Thus, the direction as sought for in the present writ petition cannot be granted and accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No Costs.
