Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents. With the consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus directing the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2017 seeking to issue patta to the petitioner's house in Survey No.92/1A, situated in Kaanalappadi, Ignkunam Village, Kizhpennathur Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District.

3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that even though the representation was made on 22.11.2017 the same has not been considered Pg.Nos.2/5

by the third respondent. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file the present writ petition.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. Since this writ petition is only for a mandamus, to direct the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2017, this Court, without expressing any view or opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the representation dated 22.11.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as interested parties/rival claimants/objectors/aggrieved parties, if any and issue Patta to the petitioner, if the land in question falls under 'Natham' category and if the petitioner is otherwise eligible to get Patta. All such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
