[Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA J.] The petitioner viz., R.Shanthi has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition directing the respondent Police to produce her missing son Dinakaran, aged about 19 years before this Court. 2.The contention of the petitioner is that her son Dinakaran, aged 19 years went missing from 07.12.2017. According to the petitioner, her son was working in TI Metal Company at Tiruninravur, Chennai. She has also lodged a complaint with the Inspector of Police, Avadi Police Station, Chennai on 17.12.2017 and in this regard, a first information report was registered in Crime No.1618 of 2017 of Avadi Police Station. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.Today, the detenu Dinakaran was produced before this Court and he was enquired by this Court. The detenu - Dinakaran contended that he left the TI Metal Company, since he was sent out of job and went over to Marina Beech and subsequently to Mamallapuram. He also contended that he is presently residing with his parents.
4.It is pertinent to mention that the detenu Dinakaran is aged 19 years and he is a Major. Therefore, this Court is convinced that he would be in a position to take an independent decision on his own and does not require any guidance or instructions. Furthermore, he also expressed willingness to join his parents.
