ORDER

This writ petition has been filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the first respondent herein to probe into the allegations made in the complaint dated 4.5.2015, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2. There is no representation on the side of the petitioner.

3. The learned Public Prosecutor is present and argued to the effect that the first respondent may be directed to look into the complaint dated 4.5.2015 and proceed further, if any cognizable offence is made out and that too, in accordance with law.

4. In fact, this Court has perused the complaint dated 4.5.2015, wherein, certain vague allegations are found placed. However, for giving quietus to the complaint dated 4.5.2015, this Court is of the view to pass the following order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In fine, this writ petition is allowed. The first respondent is directed to look into the complaint, dated 4.5.2015, and proceed further if any cognizable offence is made out and that too, in accordance with law. The learned Public Prosecutor has represented that the complaint in question has already been referred to the Director of Municipal Administration, Chepauk, Chennai. Since, in the complaint in question, offence of embezzlement of public fund is mentioned, the first respondent is directed to recall the complaint in question and proceed further as stated supra.

No costs.
