ORDER
Today also there is no representation on the side of the Petitioner at the time of calling of the case in Chambers at 1.45 p.m. Further, on the earlier four occasions also, the Petitioner was not represented either in person or through Counsel.
2.However, there is representation on the side of the Respondents. At this stage, the Learned Government Advocate for the Respondents brings it to the notice of this Court that the Member Secretary of the 2nd Respondent/Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai - 6 had issued Proceedings in Rc.No.2506/L3/2015 dated 25.03.2015, inter alia, stating that this Court, in its order dated 25.02.2014, in W.P.No.29360 of 2012, had directed the Respondents that if the Petitioner was found eligible for appointment to the post of Graduate Assistant in Geography under MG PR category then she may be considered for appointment (subject to eligibility and suitability).
3.That apart, it is represented on behalf of the Respondents that during the certificate verification that took place on 23.03.2015, at that time, the Petitioner had not produced MG PR Priority Certificate for her claim under MG PR priority category.
4.In effect, the plea taken on behalf of the Respondents is that the Petitioner does not come either under eligibility or suitability category for the post of Graduate Assistant in Geography under the MG PR priority category and therefore, her candidature was not considered and accordingly, her candidature was rightly rejected. Moreover, the Petitioner was informed of the rejection through the Proceedings dated 25.03.3015 as stated supra.
5.Considering the submissions projected on the side of the Respondents and also this Court taking note of the fact that the Petitioner had not come under either eligibility or suitability category for the post of Graduate Assistant in Geography under MG PR priority category, this Court closes the Contempt Petition, as nothing survives for adjudication.
6.Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
